On Nov. 7, 2021, 21 OMS trainees from across North America gathered at the University of Toronto Surgical Skills lab at Toronto’s Mt. Sinai Hospital for the Oral and Maxillofacial Objective Structured Assessment of Technical Skills (OMOSATS) exam.
The OMS Foundation gratefully acknowledges the leadership and generosity of the Florida Society of OMS, which recently paid tribute to retired OMS Dr. James A. Davis Jr. and his wife, Judy, with more than $50,000 in gifts to the Foundation made in their honor.

The OMS Foundation Alliance celebrated its 27th year with a flourish in Nashville, Tenn., raising more than $17,000 for Global Initiative for Volunteerism and Education (GIVE) and welcoming five resident families to the AAOMS community.
It’s fitting that the OMS Foundation recognize one of its most influential volunteers of our generation, Dr. Kathy Banks, with its prestigious Torch Award in 2021.
