The OMS Foundation welcomed Rawle F. Philbert, DDS, FACS, to its Board of Directors in October, filling a vacancy left by retiring Director Thomas P. Williams, DDS, MD, FACS.
Dr. Philbert is an Associate Professor and Division Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He is a member of AAOMS, the ADA, the American College of Dentists, the American College of Surgeons and has held many regional and national leadership positions.
Dr. Philbert has published on topics ranging from trauma to surgical techniques in JOMS, the European Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Journal of Otolaryngology and Rhinology and other peer-reviewed journals. He also has been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Lincoln Medical Center Auxiliary, a Doctor of the Year Award from the New York City Health and Hospitals Corp., and a Doctors’ Day Award from the Lincoln Medical Center.
