Why do you support the OMS Foundation’s mission?
I give to the OMS Foundation because I firmly believe in the importance of its mission to provide financial support to both research and education. I believe that the mission of the Foundation is critically important, as research is the cornerstone upon which the future of our specialty and the care we provide our patients must rest.
Why should an OMS in private practice give to the Foundation?
Oral and maxillofacial surgeons, whether practicing in an academic setting, private practice or federal service position, should give to the OMS Foundation in support of the present and the future of the specialty in which they practice.
If your practice is not growing, it’s contracting. The same can be said for the specialty itself. Research improves the quality of care and outcomes for our patients. The mainstay of our specialty’s maintenance and growth is research which supports, validates, and refines what we do, and introduces cutting-edge technology and techniques.
